Job Summary

This night shift position will be filled by a Neuorodiagnostic Technologist, Senior Neurodiagnostic Technologist, or a Principal Neurodiagnostic Technologist depending on the qualifications of the selected individual.

This position is eligible for a $7500 sign-on bonus for new hires, relocation reimbursement is also available.

Our Technologists have newly revised salary bands:

  • Neurodiagnostic Tech (4619) $47.74 - $59.47
  • Senior Neurodiagnostic Technologist (4617) $50.60 - $63.02
  • Principal Neurodiagnostic Technologist (4615) $54.64 - $68.07

The EEG Technologist, under the direction of Manager will participate as an integral member of the Neurodiagnostic Services by performing EEGs, Video/EEG monitoring and patient observation, or evoked potentials (EPs) and other specialized procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, intensive care units and other specialized locations.

The EEG Technologist will ensure electrode and equipment integrity. The EEG Technologist actively participates in departmental and organizational programs, including performance improvement activities, in-services and staff development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.)
  • Active American Heart Association CPR certification
  • The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience as an EEG Technologist
  • Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team
  • Prior experience working in an academic medical center environment
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Experience with computerized medical equipment
  • Senior and Principal Level - prefer certifications in additional modalities

Licensure/Certification

  • Current Registered EEG Technologist
  • Active American Heart Association CPR certification

  • Posts flyers and posters in designated areas only; does not post on walls, doors or windows.
  • Knows where the Environment of Care Manual is kept in department; corrects or reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate departments.
  • Protects the physical environment and equipment from damage and theft.
  • The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required.
