Neurotechnologist II-
Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00-4:30
Duties: This position is
accountable for applying advanced clinical skills in the performance
of neurodiagnostic examinations including electroencephalograms
(i.e. routine EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, video EEGs, and ECS studies),
evoked potentials (i.e. BAERs, VERs, ERGs, and SSEPs), and special
procedures. The incumbent actively participates in special projects
and training and education of new staff, and continues to develop
his/her own skills. Expertise in IntraOperative Monitoring (IOM) is
highly preferred.
Requirements: Satisfactory completion of the CHCC
Neurological Technologist Training program (or equivalent), or
successful completion of an education program for EEG technologists
accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and
Accreditation or equivalent (REEGT). Certification by the American
Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists or
its equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric
neurodiagnostics with emphasis on premature, neonatal and pediatric
recording techniques. Will consider candidate who is ABRET board
eligible (hired as Neurotech I).

Responsibilities
Responsible for performing short term and long term video EEGs and
evoked potential (EP) testing in an inpatient and outpatient
setting. Perform neurophysiologic monitoring in the operating room;
including such procedures as electroencephalography, evoked
potentials, electrocorticography, and topographic brain mapping.
Qualifications
Required minimum education/experience is inclusive of a high school
diploma or equivalent, Certification by the American Board of
Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) in EEG
and evoked potentials. Two years of performing diagnostic EEGs
Preferred experience: 4 years of experience in a neurophysiology
lab, experience in evoked potential and other complex studies.
